Meetings

All members and prospective members are always very welcome. The highlight of each meeting is the guest speakers who share their expertise or experiences with branch members. The IFUW has a triennial Study and Action Programme in which we participate by inviting speakers with relevance to the topic. The current theme is ‘Women: Agents for Change’.

Meetings for 2010 will be held on:

  • 25th February
  • 25th March
  • 22nd April
  • 24th June
  • 25th July
  • 26th August
  • 23rd September
  • 28th October
  • 25th November

Please aim to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin at 7.30pm sharp.

Our Branch meetings are currently held in:

Benham Seminar Room

2nd floor, Zoology Department

University of Otago

This venue has a data projector and computer system which speakers are welcome to use when they bring talks on USB/flash-drive or on disk.

The Zoology Department is at 340 Great King St (opposite the Physiotherapy building, next to Dentistry). The Benham Building is the newer building, set back from the street. You are welcome to park in front of the building.

Access is via the big glass doors at car park level. Someone will be holding the door for you so please be on time since the doors are closed after hours! Go up in the elevator to the 2nd floor and turn LEFT out of the elevator (the Benham Seminar Room is signposted at the doorway to the elevator). The seminar room is at the end of the corridor on the RIGHT (also signposted).
